In fact, September and October are two of the best months to visit, and as this is the start of the off-season in the park, it really makes sense to head there. This time of year, the weather is mild and comfortable, with far fewer crowds than in summer. It is also a great time to see wildlife in Yellowstone, including bears, elk, buffalo and more.
