The city of Cape Town as a whole is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but when it comes to a romantic trip, the upmarket suburb of Constantia is an ideal choice. Constantia was the first wine region in South Africa and still produces excellent wines at Groot Constantia Estate. Meanwhile, for accommodation, one hotel stands out. Surrounded by beautiful mountainous scenery, the quaint towns in the area offer many places to stay. Whether in Franschhoek, Paarl or Stellenbosch, beautiful Cape Dutch buildings house excellent restaurants.

Nestled in the Spier Wine Estate, the hotel offers spectacular views, as well as luxurious rooms and great restaurants where guests can enjoy the excellent wine from the vineyard. While there, guests can visit the boutique Camelot Spa, to enjoy massages, relaxing therapies and a relaxing hot tub at the end of the day.

uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

Located in KwaZulu-Natal, the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park features beautiful and iconic mountain scenery and lush green valleys. Meanwhile, the park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000 and offers much for the visitor. Besides exploring the hiking trails, the area offers a rich collection of rock art, dating from when the San Peoples called the Drakensberg Mountains their home. According to experts, there are around 600 rock art sites to explore in the park, where they estimate that 35,000 individual paintings can be seen.

One beautiful hotel for a romantic stay is the Cathedral Peak Hotel. Not only does it offer excellent accommodations for romantic couples, but it even has its own stone-and-thatch chapel (pictured above) for the perfect wedding in paradise.
