Florida is known for its great beaches and year-long warm weather and is as popular as the Caribbean in some cases. Some are laidback strips of sand, perfect for a tan, while others offer a great party vibe. Now, two budget airlines are making it easier for Americans to get to one of eight beaches in the Sunshine State. Even better, flights are affordable on both budget airlines.

Anyone seeking an affordable flight to one of eight Florida beaches just got lucky. Moreover, while low-cost carrier Allegiant is based in Las Vegas, the popular airline also has a huge presence in Florida.

Allegiant takes budget-minded travelers to some of the smaller airports in Florida, including Punta Gorda. This airport is also a convenient gateway for travelers visiting Fort Myers. Of interest to note, Allegiant has also opened a resort this year. The Sunseeker Resort is located in Punta Gorda on the Charlotte Harbor waterfront and is the airline’s first undertaking in the hotel industry.

According to Google reviews, the Sunseeker Resort appears to be enjoying huge success attracting 4 and 5-star reviews like, “This resort is beautiful and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our suite was incredible.”

The new flight to Punta Gorda (PGD) flies from Savannah, Georgia (SAV) on November 14 for just $39.

Meanwhile, besides Punta Gorda, Allegiant is also adding six more new flights to Florida, launching in November. The first heads to Palm Beach (PBI), departing from Grand Rapids, Michigan (GRR) on November 14. Moreover, passengers pay only $69 to escape the chilly Midwest weather.

Another Allegiant flight takes travelers from SAV to Fort Lauderdale (FLL), as well as Tampa’s neighboring airport, St. Pete (PIE), starting November 15 for only $39 on both routes. Moreover, travelers can also fly to FLL from Savannah, Georgia (SAV) and Newburgh, New York (SWF) from November 15, with promo fares as low as $3 from SAV, and $69 from SWF.

Meanwhile, those seeking the best beaches can also fly to Sarasota-Bradenton (SRQ) from Portsmouth, New Hampshire (PSM). This route launches on November 23, with initial fares at $69.

Last, but by no means least, Allegiant will fly travelers to Destin (VPS), with its white sand and emerald waters and its fun Crab Island. This new route to Destin is out of Flint, Michigan (FNT) starting November 15 with fares as low as $59.

Breeze Airways is one of America’s newest airlines, but is gaining popularity with budget-minded travelers. Its first new Florida flight heads to Fort Myers (RSW), out of Portsmouth, New Hampshire starting on October 10.

Moreover, Breeze is also launching flights to lesser-known Vero Beach (VRB), an attractive beach town between Orlando and Palm Beach. Moreover, it is home to an oceanfront Disney Resort, far from the madding crowds of Disney World. Here, New Yorkers will have the chance to fly the two new routes from differing airports. One flight is from Long Island-Islip, NY (ISP), starting October 2, and the other is from Newburgh, NY, starting November 21.

Have fun in Florida, saving on your flights to splurge on a great beach vacation.
