SeaWorld Abu Dhabi Earns Guinness World Record As Largest Marine-Life Theme Park

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi opened to the public in 2023 and sprawls over an amazing 1,970,000 sq ft (183,000 square meters). The massive theme park is located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and combines education, education and conservation to help its visitors understand the vast ocean. Having run for a year, officials from Guinness World Records have pronounced SeaWorld Abu Dhabi as the “largest indoor marine-life theme park in the world.”

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi honored with Guinness World Record

Guinness World Records officials presented the certificate to Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaagi, Group CEO of Miral and Leadership in SeaWorld Yas Island. After its opening last year, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi offers visitors entertainment, education and conservation. Here, visitors can explore the vast One Ocean via eight immersive realms, as follows:

• Abu Dhabi Ocean
• One Ocean
• MicroOcean
• Endless Ocean
• Tropical Ocean
• Rocky Point
• Polar Ocean

The latter is divided into the Arctic realm and Antarctica realm.

Meanwhile, SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE hosts more than 100,000 marine animals, along with 75 interactive experiences and rides, while learning about the One Ocean that connects everyone.

On receiving the Guinness World Records certificate, Thomas Kaferle, SeaWorld Yas Island General Manager, said:

The marine theme park hosts an amazing variety of marine life, offering 15 interactive experiences and thrilling rides for its visitors. Besides exciting animal experiences and presentations, the theme park offers visitors education opportunities, allowing them to gain insights about marine life from the experts.

Moreover, visitors can enjoy performances by more than 20 live characters, as well as 10 close-up encounters with marine animals, offering fun entertainment throughout the visit.
