The Sound Of Music: Elisabeth Von Trapp To Join AMADEUS River Cruises On The Danube

Exciting news comes from AMADEUS River Cruises as this summer onboard guests will be joined by a special guest. Elisabeth von Trapp is the granddaughter of Captain and Maria von Trapp, whose family story inspired the The Sound of Music starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer.

Elisabeth von Trapp to join AMADEUS River Cruises ‘Classical Danube’ Itinerary

According to a press release, Elisabeth von Trapp will join the line’s “Classical Danube” itinerary in late July aboard the AMADEUS Imperial. Meanwhile, von Trapp will lead a walking tour of Salzburg, where her family’s story was set. She and guests will then board the AMADEUS Imperial and continue on its River Danube sailing.

About the cruise on AMADEUS Imperial

The sailing with its celebrity guest starts out on July 24 in Passau. Along the way, guests will have the opportunity to visit Linz, Vienna, Bratislava and other popular destinations before disembarking in Budapest, Hungary, on July 31.
