When do applications open for the Cruise Tails dog-friendly cruise?

Once the applications are in, the team will sort through the applicants to select 250 special pet dogs to cruise with Cruise Tails on the inaugural cruise on Margaritaville At Sea ship, The Islander.
As there are only 250 dogs allowed on the first dog-friendly cruise, applicants are encouraged to review the qualifications, protocols and tips as soon as possible. With over 5,000 registrations in the first week, the ship’s cabins are expected to fill quickly. Once the 250 applications have been approved, the remaining applications will head to a waitlist system, in case of any cancelations.
Protocols to follow
To be able to offer a dog-friendly cruise, Cruise Tails is implementing several protocols for a successful voyage as follows:
- Each furry friend will require a Pet Health Certificate and Passport, approved and signed off by a licensed veterinarian and will require up-to-date vaccinations and health checks from all participating in the dog-friendly cruise.
- To ensure each human and dog guest has a clean and enjoyable cruise, each family will be allocated a Pet Butler to ensure their cabin and the cruise ship stay in top condition.
- Should readers wonder how their dogs will go potty on a cruise ship, each dog will be given access to a private relief station, accessible on their balcony.
Cruise Tails Captain Steve Matzke shared his excitement:
The enthusiasm and positive response we’ve received so far have been incredible. We’re thrilled to be able to provide such a unique travel experience where dogs are not just allowed, but celebrated as part of the family. This is more than just a cruise; it’s a chance to create lasting memories with your friends and family.
