RVs make travel more convenient by providing the comforts of home, including kitchens, bathrooms and beds.

– Affordability

In these cash-strapped days, RV travel is usually a budget-friendly and affordable option, especially when it comes to families or groups, by reducing the need for dining out or costly hotels.

The Go RVing survey revealed that 52 percent of RV travelers plan trips between four and seven driving hours from home. This reveals a preference for regional travel. Meanwhile, 33 percent plan shorter trips within a three-hour drive of home.

One interesting point is that RV travel isn’t just popular in the summer months, as the survey revealed that 50 percent of RVers are pondering taking an RV trip within the next year. This shows the appeal of this form of travel all year round.

About the Go RVing survey

Meanwhile, it involved 1,709 American leisure travelers, using a margin error of +/- 2.74 percentage points. Moreover, those leisure travelers are defined as US residents who have taken some form of RV leisure trip in the past 12 months.
