Next October, Taylor Swift fans will be able to set sail on a cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas. Swifties can enjoy a four-night fan cruise from Miami to the Bahamas. However, there is a minor problem as “Swifty” herself will not be onboard. In fact, the popular singer who inspired the cruise has nothing to do with the event. Read on to judge whether it is worthwhile to book a place on the cruise with other Swift fans or not.

A four-day cruise to the Bahamas is set to launch from the Port of Miami on October 21, 2024, on Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas. Meanwhile, the cruise is aimed at Taylor Swift fans and the launch date is the day after Tay performs her last show in that city.

The cruise is dubbed “In My Cruise Era” and is being organized by travel agents at Marvelous Mouse Travels. While fans of the iconic singer might get excited at the thought of the cruise, they should probably read the small print on the event’s website. In fact, right on the home page for the event, the organizers have noted that it is “not endorsed or affiliated with TASRM [Publishing] or Taylor Swift.”

About the fan-related cruise

In their blurb for the Taylor-related cruise, the organizers write:

Join us as we celebrate all things Taylor, make new friends, dress up in our favorite eras, trade friendship bracelets, and enjoy everything this amazing ship has to offer!

The travel agents from Marvelous Mouse Travels hosting the event are Jessica Malerman, Shelby Reyes and Nicole Rivera. As noted by CNN, besides being Royal Caribbean specialists, the travel agents are “besties and Taylor Fans too.”

Meanwhile, Allure of the Seas offers 2,748 staterooms and can accommodate (at double occupancy) 5,496 guests. However, it is unclear from the website how much of the space will be set aside for Swifties.

CNN Travel requested more information from the agents behind the Taylor Swift cruise, but so far, there has been no response. Moreover, when they contacted Royal Caribbean, they were pointed back to the travel agency for information.

However, according to the website, details are still being worked out. Apparently, the organizers are working with Royal Caribbean to plan Swift-related events every evening of the four-night cruise. Reportedly among the proposed events is a Taylor-themed dance party. Among them, one is titled “I don’t wanna dance if I’m not dancing with you.” Meanwhile, a Swift-themed karaoke will bear the title, “Heartbreak is the national anthem, we sing it proudly.”

On Thursday this week, the event’s website revealed that boardwalk balcony rooms on the ship are sold out. However, it looks like other stateroom types could be available. Swifties reserving the staterooms must pay a $100 per person deposit. Meanwhile, the cruise prices range from $1,573 to $1,967 for double occupancy. Moreover, any fans under the age of 21 will need to be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older.

It is clear that Swift has many fans, as her ongoing “Eras” tour has drawn huge demand since it started in the spring. Many fans are traveling from all over to be a part of the popular shows. However, it is unclear whether the lady herself has heard about the event.
