Adventurous family hike up Mount TeideFor families with older children, hiking up Mount Teide is the ultimate adventure. Standing at 3,718 meters (12,200 feet) above sea level, the volcano’s peak offers panoramic views over the seven islands that form part of the archipelago.
If not feeling up to hiking the whole of Mount Teide, head to the Cable Lift Base Station where a cable car takes you to the Upper Station. Here, families with smaller kids can stop to experience the wonderful views. However, more adventurous families can then hike the Telesforo Bravo trail to the volcano’s crater.
