However, once there, divers will find it was worth the effort, as a myriad of marine life can then be seen in the crystal clear water. Nestling on the eastern coast of Mallorca, Caló des Moro is an unspoiled inlet backed by pine-covered cliffs. While the beach is relatively small, the shallow clear waters quickly head to deeper water close to the shore. This means that snorkelers don’t have to swim too far to meet the lively and colorful marine life.

Here, divers and snorkelers can expect to see schools of fish in many species, shapes, colors and sizes swimming around them. The only drawback with this beach is that it is so isolated; there are no amenities close by, so travelers should take water and snacks along with them. Meanwhile, as the cove is only a couple of miles from Santanyi, that is the ideal location for a meal after an enjoyable day in the water.

When needing a break, snorkelers can visit the small fishing harbor close by with a café and terrace. This is the ideal spot for a tasty snack or cooling drink.
