As excitement builds for Cruise Tails’ first-ever dog-friendly cruise, the SSA Marine Mexico has given approval for dog passengers to disembark during the ship’s stop in Progreso. This opportunity means that pet owners on the Tails of the Sea cruise will be able to enjoy shore excursions with their pets while docked in Progreso, including city tours and beach outings.

Cruise Tails has announced that permission has been given by the SSA Marine Mexico, which is no doubt a relief. Guests who might have been worried about having to stay onboard can truly enjoy the cruise and the shore excursions in Mexico.

While making the announcement, Steve Matzke, Captain of Cruise Tails said:

In years to come, the 250 travelers who are part of this milestone will have a unique story to tell. They’ll be able to share how they played a key role in changing the way pets can travel, paving the way for future generations to explore the world with their animals more freely.

This is not just about a trip; it’s about changing the way people travel with their animals.

Meanwhile, the Cruise Tails team will continue to work closely with the SSA Marine Mexico team to ensure the success of this historic moment. Moreover, the SSA Marine Mexico has expressed its excitement to welcome the four-legged guests to Progreso. Furthermore, they have confirmed that the regulations remain the same for dogs traveling directly from the USA. However, those dogs traveling from Central or South America may need additional paperwork.
