Who of a certain age could forget the Beatles’ first American tour? More than 14,000 screaming fans saw the Fab Four perform live at the Coliseum (now the Climate Pledge Area) after paying only $5 for tickets. Meanwhile, during their stay, John, Paul, George and Ringo stayed at The Edgewater Hotel in Seattle, which opened two years before to celebrate the 1962 World’s Fair.

Beatles fans visiting the Emerald City can stay at The Edgewater Hotel, which hosted the Beatles during their first US tour. During their stay, the Fab Four famously fished from the window of their suite, holding out their fishing poles over the waters of Elliott Bay to see what they could catch.

At that moment, photos of the Beatles became iconic and helped to put The Edgewater on the map, particularly in the music industry. The hotel went on to host Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes Ray Charles, Rod Stewart, Willie Nelson and more.

Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Beatles’ famous visit

It is hard to imagine that 60 years have gone by since the Beatles stayed at The Edgewater on August 21, 1964. In order to commemorate the iconic milestone, the hotel is offering a special “Can’t Buy Me Love” package from now through December 31. Moreover, the package includes Beatles swag, free parking and a $60 food and beverage credit.

Even better, the one-bedroom suite features portraits, memorabilia and artwork of the Fab Four making it seem the band is right there with guests. Moreover, musically inclined travelers can enjoy free, two-hour rentals of Orangewood guitars to try them out in their suite, where they can also rent a record player and vinyl records in the room.
