Nestling on a hilltop dubbed the Cumbre de Cerro Pui-Pinos, the Parador de Alcañiz is a 12th-13th century castle/convent. Meanwhile, it was built as the seat of the Order of Calatrava in 1179. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful landscape and still retains its keep and the bell tower. Moreover, it was partly converted into an 18th-century Aragonese palace.
