Disneyland Paris
A family vacation in Paris would not be complete without a visit to Disneyland Paris. The theme park is located in Marne-la-Vallée, about 32 km (27 mi) east of the center of Paris. Meanwhile, Disneyland is the most visited theme park in France and possibly, the whole of Europe.Here, the kids can get to meet all their favorite Disney characters, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and more. Futuroscope Park
Located in the communes of Chasseneuil-du-Poitou and Jaunay-Clan, around 10 km (6.2 mi) north of Poitiers, Futuroscope is something completely different. Besides its other attractions, the futuristic theme park uses cinematographic futuroscope, audio-visual and multimedia techniques while offering 3D and 4D cinemas.Parents and older kids can enjoy the Time Machine, a dark ride based on the game Raving Rabbids: Travel in Time. Alternatively, Dynamic! is a movie theater featuring Virus Attack. Meanwhile, the little ones will love Children’s World (Le Monde des Enfants), with its many, fun outdoor games. Among these are Budding Drivers, Fledgling Firefighters, the Ascenso Rocket, Fururopolis Airport, The Waterworks and Aqualympic Stadium and so much more.
OK Corral
Located in Cuges les Pins, Bouches-du-Rhône, the OK Corral is for those who love a Wild West theme. Among its attractions, the theme park offers re-enactments of famous Western stories, including the Gunfight at the OK Corral, for which it was named. The notorious gunfight was between lawmen and a group of outlaws called the Cowboys. It lasted 30 seconds and took place in 1881 in Tombstone, Arizona. Meanwhile, other attractions include staying in a teepee, as well as many fun rides and stunt shows.Parc Astérix, Walibi Parks
Walibi Parks are located all over Europe, with 11 in France, including Parc Astérix. Meanwhile, this was the first theme park to be created in Europe and is located in Plailly, 35 km (22 mi) from Paris. The park attracts fans of the Astérix cartoon characters and features the largest wooden rollercoaster in Europe. Moreover, for those brave souls, the park has a looping rollercoaster that turns its riders upside down seven times during one ride.Have fun with the whole family on these and other fun theme parks in France.
