Amadeus River Cruises Set To Debut New Ship, Amadeus Aurea In 2026

Amadeus River Cruises has announced its newest ship, set to debut in May 2026. Amadeus Aurea is 442 feet long and its four decks will be able to host up to 158 guests. Meanwhile, the river cruise line plans to sail the new ship on the Rhine and Danube Rivers in Europe.

Guests on the Amadeus Aurea will have a choice of 12 balcony suites and 67 exterior cabins, most with drop-down panoramic windows. For onboard relaxation, the ship has wind-protected lounge areas, a heated pool, Lido Bar and an open Café Vienna gallery. Moreover, guests will have access to a dedicated massage and fitness area on the ship.

Eco-friendly sailing

In sustainable news, Amadeus Aurea will feature next-generation, eco-friendly technologies. Meanwhile, these include a high-performance battery, solar panels, and an advanced hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system.

The new Amadeus River Cruise ship also features special glass paneling, designed to help minimize heat loss and keep the temperature steady and comfortable on the ship.

Meanwhile, the river cruise line pioneered these sustainable concepts on the Amadeus Nova, which launched in the spring of 2024. Moreover, Amadeus River Cruises will also welcome another new, eco-friendly ship, the Amadeus Amara in July 2025.
