Staying in a hotel at Panama City Beach in Florida would not come within the $100 budget, but St. Andrews State Park, which runs along the coast, offers plenty of opportunities for swimming and water sports. To keep within budget, book one of the park’s new glamping tents, complete with a queen-size bed and air conditioning.

Moreover, the nightly rate includes the park entry fee and a ferry trip to Shell Island with its idyllic beaches. However, it doesn’t cover the $7 per night fee for electricity. Accommodations work out to $80 per night, which split with another bringing it down to $40. As for dining, a good example is a $12 shared pizza from Shore Shack Pizza.

– Atlantic Beach, North Carolina

Set on North Carolina’s Crystal Coast, Atlantic Beach stretches for 85 miles, of which 56 miles are protected beaches. While there aren’t too many budget options available, the Windjammer Inn is an affordable option.

While the rooms are simple, they are comfortable and every room offers an oceanfront view and pool access, plus the ocean is right in front of the inn. However, to spend time on the beach, rent a bike and head down to Fort Macon State Park.

When staying at the Windjammer Inn, a room is just $70 a night when splitting the bill with your friend or partner. Meanwhile, the cost of renting a bike for the day is $25 from AB Bike & Beach Rentals. Cheap dining is available, including a $3.50 share of a pie from Roma Pizza & Subs.

During the height of summer, the wild Oregon coast is a great place to be. Due to the Alsea River, there is water surrounding you, and heading to Governor Patterson Memorial State Recreation Site offers miles of idyllic, sandy beach.

Just to the south of the park is a tiny home community, offering small, affordable lodging at $47 each for you and your friend or partner. Meanwhile, the community includes a private kitchen for your meals and guests have access to common hangout areas and a greenhouse. As for the beach, it is just a five-minute stroll away. For those who don’t want to cook, fish and chips are available from the Oregon Fishmongers food truck at $17.

Make sure you have the opportunity for a relaxed vacation in a beach location, even if you are short on cash. The relaxation and fun will be well worth it.
