The whole family can have plenty of fun at Bushy Park Go-Karting with its speedy but safe go-kart racing on a well-maintained track. For the older kids, karts with 4-stroke 270cc engines can reach speeds of up to 50 mph. However, Bush Park has 160cc go-karts, especially for the little ones. What makes them even safer, is that the kids’ karts can be shut off remotely at any stage. This adventure can be found in Gasking on the east side of Barbados.

Take the family for a stroll on the Richard Haynes Boardwalk in Bridgetown where you can enjoy views of the beach. Here, you will find calm and shallow waters, perfect for the kids to splash around.  Meanwhile, the boardwalk gives access to a number of different restaurants, both casual and more upscale. Harrison’s Cave is probably best suited for older children and is a beautiful and natural wonder of the island. Here, you can explore crystallized limestone passages with stalagmites and stalactites throughout. Meanwhile, the main attraction here is the huge central cavern, dubbed the Great Hall, which measures almost 50 feet in height. As the air temperature stays at around 80 degrees, this can be a cool and comfortable place to escape the heat of summer. The cave can be found at Allen View on the west side of St. Thomas.

Through the windows of the submarine, the family can see a wide range of local marine life. Meanwhile, the beautiful natural reefs feature colorful corals and fish. Night tours are popular, as they offer a different view into life beneath the water’s surface. The submarine shines high-powered lights so passengers can see the marine life that is active after dark. As the submarines are a popular attraction, it is recommended to make a reservation on Atlantis Submarines’ website to avoid disappointment.
