The island may be small, but Antiparos has nine beautiful beaches to choose from. All are known for their clean sand and warm, crystal-clear waters. What makes the beaches accessible is that each can be reached on foot from the main town. Alternatively, public transport also takes visitors to these beautiful locations. Here we take a look at the most popular beaches on Antiparos.

– Psaraliki Beach in Antiparos

Psaraliki is actually two beaches, namely Psalariki I and Psalariki II, and both are easy to access. Visitors can reach Psalariki I in the east of the town with a ten-minute stroll on the coastal path. Meanwhile, this beach offers water sports like windsurfing but also has gentler options such as the pedal boats for rent here. Moreover, beach tennis is another popular sport on this sandy stretch.

As for Psalariki II, this beach is even closer to town and can be reached with only a two-minute stroll. The beach is ideal for those seeking music and entertainment as it features a tavern as well as two music clubs to party the night away.

Meanwhile, both Psalariki I and II offer calm, shallow waters, making them the ideal spot for families with small children. Moreover, both beaches are backed by shady trees for those really hot days.

– Panagia Beach

Panagia Beach is just a short stroll from the Psaraliki beaches and is also a short walk from town. Meanwhile, it is also one of Antiparos’s most picturesque beaches and is the perfect place for those seeking peace and quiet. However, while it is quiet, the beach also offers plenty of shade under the trees and an excellent tavern to sample the local cuisine.

The Cave of Antiparos is a natural attraction for visitors and is linked to the island’s history. Besides the stalagmites and stalactites in the cave, it is of important archaeological interest due to Stone Age artifacts found inside.

The cave is located 9 km (5.6 mi) from the town of Chora and stands next to the church of Agios Ioannis Spiliotis.

– The Venetian Castle

An unusual attraction lies at Panagia Beach on Antiparos, in the heart of Chora, in the form of the Venetian Castle ruins. The castle was constructed in a square shape, with a circular tower in the center. Meanwhile, the entrance can be found next to the Cathedral of Agios Nikolaos in Chora.
