Rocky Mountaineer has launched its 2024 season, leaving Vancouver Station on April 15 and heading for Banff. On April 15, 2024, the first train of the Rocky Mountaineer 2024 season departed from Vancouver Station, on its way to Banff. The world-famous glass-domed carriages of the Rocky Mountaineer are ready again to travel through Western Canada and the American Southwest. Meanwhile, the trains offer all-daylight travel to showcase some of the most stunning scenery that North America has to offer.

First departure dates for each of Rocky Mountaineer’s routes are as follows:

  • April 15: First Passage to the West (Vancouver – Kamloops – Banff)
  • April 16: Journey Through the Clouds (Vancouver – Kamloops – Jasper)
  • April 25: Rockies to the Red Rocks (Denver – Glenwood Springs – Moab)
  • April 27: Rainforest to Gold Rush (Vancouver – Whistler – Quesnel – Jasper)

Among the new features on the train’s Canadian routes are redesigned menus, offering guests a choice of meal options, each inspired by the areas the Rocky Mountaineer travels through. Moreover, the company continues to work together with local suppliers to be able to offer regionally sourced ingredients and delicious cuisine.

Other itineraries of the Rocky Mountaineer

Through this partnership, the company will connect guests with one of the most anticipated musical events of the Southwest. The special edition package is dubbed Sounds in the Southwest and will run from September 3 to 11, 2024, while offering an eight-night musical travel experience.

Guests can board the train for a two-day Rockies to the Red Rocks rail route from Denver, Colorado to Moab, Utah. Once there, guests can spend four nights in Moab, enjoying a wonderful fusion of music and nature. Moreover, they can explore the striking natural venues, tucked among the canyon walls, rivers and towering red rocks. From there, guests will climb back onboard for another two days of spectacular scenery and world-class service.
