A new, delicious treat is coming from Paul Gauguin Cruises as they launch a new culinary cruise on board the Paul Gauguin. The culinary cruise on the 330-guest ship will set sail from Papeete, Tahiti, on December 11. Meanwhile, the cruise will take its guests to stunning destinations on the Society Islands and Tuamotus. Along the way, they will visit Huahine, Bora Bora, Rangiroa and Fakarava. Read on to learn more about this new exciting cruise coming in December.

Announcing the new cruise, Paul Ellis, the ship’s executive chef said:

Beyond its legendary lagoons, Tahiti is paradise for foodies and The Gauguin’s culinary mission is to serve the freshest, most authentic cuisine in the islands.

Moreover, two other culinary experts will be on board the ship for the new cruise. One is Tom Wong, a chef specializing in Hawaiian cuisine. Meanwhile the other is Charlie Plummer, a certified sommelier and wine specialist. During the exciting cruise, Wong and Plummer will host mixology classes, tastings, wine seminars, cooking demonstrations and more.

“We are thrilled to welcome chef Tom Wong back on board – his Hawaiian-inspired cuisine has been a treat for our guests in the past, and our own culinary team enjoys learning new techniques from him,” Ellis said, adding:

The addition of expert sommelier Charlie Plummer on our December culinary cruise will add to the uniquely delicious, and complimentary, experience for our guests.

Paul Gauguin Cruises has been sailing the season for over 25 years, offering small-ship cruises in exotic French Polynesia. Meanwhile, it was named after the French artist, Paul Gauguin, who was inspired by the South Pacific and spent his final years on Hiva Oa, one of the remote and beautiful Marquesas Islands.
