Presented by UBS, the inaugural Anantara Concorso Roma is set to take place in Rome on April 24-27, with final preparations underway in the lead-up to the glamorous event. Celebrating la dolce vita and all things Italian, the event will include hospitality, cuisine, and craftsmanship.

Moreover, the event also commemorates 100 years since the very first Concorso d’Eleganza, held in Rome in April 1926. Besides the outstanding lineup of cars, a stellar collection of partners was also announced, including Richard Mille as the official timing partner for the event.

Right from the start, the vision for the inaugural Anantara Concorso Roma was to invite the world’s most respected car collectors and assemble a sensational selection of exclusively Italian masterpieces in the heart of Rome. Moreover, it will be a spectacle worthy of, and doing justice to, its historic setting.

The official lineup for the launch event has now been revealed by organizers, where from among many entries, fifty have been selected to showcase the best Italian design and excellence. While featuring all the legendary marques, the event is a potted history of the Italian sports car, from the early pioneering days, through the heroic decades of racing supremacy and the era of power, performance and style, to the modern age of early supercars.

Among the participating cars are Alfa Romeo, Cisitalia, Ferrari, Fiat, Lamborghini, Lancia, Maserati, Pagani, and Siata. Moreover, among these jewels are some notable examples, others that have rarely been seen, and a few cars making their show debut following a restoration to their former glory.

The cars will be divided into classes, ranging from the pioneering age of the 1902 Fiat, built expressly for Ignazio Florio of the famed Florio family, to the 2018 Pagani Zonda Viola. Meanwhile, the 12 classes cover varying manufacturing periods and the various purposes for which the cars were designed and built.

Among a class of cars built between WWI and WWII, five rare Alfa Romeos stand out. One was built for Benito Mussolini’s personal chauffeur, who raced in the Mille Miglia, while another was built for Franco Mazzotti, one of four Brescia-based enthusiasts behind the creation of the Mille Miglia.

Meanwhile, the post-war classes include cars built for Gran Turismo and sports car racing. Weekend visitors to the Concorso will have the chance to admire a fantastic trio of Ferrari cars that, between them, won four editions of the grueling 24 Hours of Le Mans: the 275P (winnder in 1963 and 1964), the 250 LM (1965), and the 499P, loaned by Ferraro SpA, which won the 2024 edition.

Cars built exclusively by Carrozzeria Zagata and more

While some will showcase Gran Turismo models from the golden era of the Sixties and Seventies, including the Lamborghini Miura seen in the movie The Italian Job and the Ferrari 512 BBi, built expressly for “L’Avvocato,” i.e., Gianni Agnelli. Meanwhile, another class will feature cars built exclusively by Carrozzeria Zagato.

The event has a stellar list of partners, including official timing partner Richard Mille, one of the preeminent names in the luxury watchmaking industry.

In addition to presentation partner UBS, other partners include Acqua di Parma, AMEX, Antica Manifattura Cappelli, CARS, CoverCar, Gulfstream, La Dolce Vita, Lamborghini Polo Storico, Lavazza, Lockton, Maserati, Meguiar’s, Octane, Renauld, RM Sotheby’s, Sartoria Ripense, Schedoni Modena, Technogym, Tenute Lunelli, Tod’s, Veuve Clicquot, Whispering Angel, ACLI Roma, ASI, and Automobile Club d’Italia.
