Madison In Georgia

What’s so special about it? Well, if you prefer quiet towns, only about 5,000 people live in the area. The prosperity of the area began in history with developers farming cotton. While not socially correct these days, there are some places of heritage to remind Americans of that history. For example, there’s the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center or Rose Cottage. Plus, if you love browsing antique shops, there are plenty to choose from.
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Jackson Hole came in at number three on U.S. News’ choices. Located in western Wyoming, the area increasingly welcomes visitors looking for natural beauty. Additionally, you’ll find the arts, hiking, biking, and the chance to spot some wildlife. Of course, the beautiful Teton mountain range brings loads of opportunity for the outdoor enthusiast.
Jackson’s a magnet for anyone craving outdoor adventure, with endless things to do whether you’re visiting in the summer or the winter. The town, which feels more like a big village than a city has a population of about 9K. But, that number fluctuates during vacation seasons. Right at the center of it all is Town Square. With a family-friendly vibe, the classic city park’s a fun place to wile away a few hours.
Taos In New Mexico
Totally different is a little gem named Taos. You’ll find it in New Mexico, about 50 miles south of the border with Colorado. It’s the seat of Taos County, with an estimated population of about 7K people. Populated for a long time, it’s situated near the Taos Pueblo UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The New Mexico small town pulls people in because of its unique adobe-style buildings. Plus, you will find tons of cool things to do. For starters, you’ve got the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, the second-highest bridge in the entire U.S. highway system. The historic downtown buzzes with concerts, art galleries, and shops. And if you plan a winter trip, you’re just a short drive away from some fantastic ski runs.
