Let’s face it, time flies when on vacation or a cruise, and all too soon it’s time to head home. However, newly-launched Crescent Seas, founded by former Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings chairman, Russell Galbut, is offering travelers a permanent vacation in their own floating home. However, these homes don’t exactly come cheap, and you should plan on having a few million euros or USD to spare.

Crescent Seas offers luxurious ‘floating homes’

Former Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings chairman, Russell Galbut has recently launched Crescent Seas, with the first of the ships to launch in 2026. The upcoming fleet of residential cruise ships offers the chance to purchase “floating homes” so owners can enjoy a permanent cruise vacation.

With the first of these ships set to launch in 2026, the “floating homes” don’t come cheap, with a huge price tag. While the lowest price starts at €570,000 ($648.224), the most expensive costs €8.8 million (around $10 million). However, for that price, the guest can travel the world on a cruise that never ends. Moreover, residents are also required to purchase around €30,000 worth of annual food and beverage credits.

According to the press release, Crescent Seas will take off with the launch of the Navigator, a refitted version of the Regent Seven Seas Navigator. The ship is set to undergo an extensive and top-grade refurbishment worth more than $50 million. Three elite design firms are working with Crescent Seas to complete the redevelopment: Lissoni & Partners, Journey and MAWD, each responsible for respective features across the ships.

Moreover, two other ships are already confirmed for the cruises: Insignia (a former Oceania Cruises vessel to relaunch in 2027), and a new ship, The Ocean, set to be completed in 2032. Moreover, plans are to add two additional vessels in 2028 and 2029.

About the journey

Navigator, Crescent Seas’ first vessel, will host 210 private residences and will embark on a global voyage in December 2026. Those guests lucky enough to own a private residence can expect four-day port stops along the way, in destinations like Singapore, the Seychelles, Barcelona and Iceland. These excursions are designed to immerse guests in local cultures while enjoying the rich cuisine of each location.

When not enjoying excursions on the shore, owners of private residences will experience all the trappings of ultra-luxury living, including Michelin-inspired restaurants, cooking classes, wellness centers and Starlink-powered co-working spaces to keep up with friends and family. Moreover, guests will enjoy a “6-star” butler service.

Talking to The Telegraph, Galbut explained:

As a developer, I know real estate has always been defined by location, location, location, as we say. With Crescent Seas, we’ve eliminated that limitation.

Now, your home isn’t bound to a single address – it moves with you, taking you to the world’s most breathtaking destinations.
