Introducing Rojo, Brilliant Lady’s dazzling new eatery
Following the huge success of Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle – the Chinese-inspired restaurant that launched in November 2024 on the Scarlet Lady, this bold culinary innovation promises to have guests’ taste buds dancing the flamenco.
Meanwhile, acclaimed chefs, Justin Severino – a four-time James Beard Foundation Award nominee – and Nate Hobart, will co-helm Rojo by Razzle Dazzle, bringing their ingredient-driven, shareable dining innovations to sea. Moreover, co-chefs at Morcilla, the Spanish-style charcuteria taking Pittsburgh by storm, Severino and Hobart, are taking their deep passion for Spanish gastronomy to Virgin Voyages’ decks.
Among their favorite recipes, Rojo’s new menu will feature Morcilla’s legendary Oxtail Montadito, with braised oxtail, caramelized onion, mahón cheese and a crostini.
Razzle’s signature brunch
When the sun goes down, Rojo transforms into an elevated dining experience, filled with vibrant Spanish energy. With Razzle Dazzle’s sophisticated but warm vibe, the evening menu offers pintxos, tapas, and platos grandes – all of which draw inspiration from Spain’s renowned culinary regions.
When it comes to the cocktails, Virgin Voyages has partnered with Onada Consulting from Barcelona, bringing an authentic Spanish touch to the restaurant’s offerings. Moreover, the brand also sought out iconic bars in Spain’s hottest cities, including Madrid, Barcelona, and San Sebastian.
The cocktails capture the authentic Spanish spirit with every sip, with authentic ingredients, flavours and flair.
Meanwhile, Rojo’s wine menu offers bold reds like Rioja and Ribera del Duero, along with refreshing Albariños from Rias Baixas. Brunch sees Rojo serving up vibrant sangrias, artisanal vermouths, well-paired sherries and sparkling Provocativo cava spritzes.
Communal dining traditions at Rojo
When it comes to the interior of the restaurant, Virgin Voyages completely reimagined the Razzle Dazzle space for Rojo, sharing an environment that honors Spain’s communal dining traditions. The new look features rich wooden accents, deep reddish-orange tones, and sleek finishes, make the new look pop.
Moreover, the inviting space pairs a mix of lively shared tables and intimate nooks, an inviting look that perfectly embodies what Virgin Voyages is all about – bringing incredible people together over amazing food and unforgettable experiences.
Levi Mezick, Director of Culinary Program Development, said of the new look:
Virgin Voyages set out to be a disruptor from day one, and our culinary program – with Michelin-chef designed menus and boundary pushing creativity – was always central to that mission. Spanish cuisine and the communal dining traditions complement our commitment to authentic yet innovative experiences for our Sailors.
