The idea of a hot tub boat is the brainchild of shipwright Adam Karpenske and first launched in Seattle in 2011. People can float around in an original classic wooden vessel with a hot tub nestling in the center.

Moreover, they enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience for two hours out on the water. Meanwhile, passengers can navigate the vessel easily with an easy-to-use joystick, while soaking in a temperature-controlled hot tub with their friends or family.

The experience became such a success, a new location is set to open in Alameda, California, in October 2024. Here they will float around in the Bay area, which adds more of the custom classic wooden boats that have been such a success in Seattle.

Whether friends plan to float around in a hot tub boat in Lake Union, Seattle, or soaking in a hot tub in the Bay area, this is the perfect option for chillier days.

The boats are a family-friendly way to get the crew together, with life vests for children 12 and under. Meanwhile, it’s the only hot tub boat in the Bay Area now. Moreover, the experience includes a towel service, showers, bath salts, and food and beverage (no alcohol).
