Biltmore Estate to reopen in the wake of Hurricane Helene
The upcoming reopening will see Biltmore fully dressed with festive Christmas decorations. Moreover, while some of the estate’s roads and wooded areas are still undergoing cleanup, attractions and restaurants across the estate will be operational. Moreover, accommodations at Biltmore will be ready to welcome overnight guests in comfort and style.
However, it should be borne in mind that the Trails and the Outdoor Adventure Center on the estate will remain closed for now with no opening date yet announced.
Recovery of the greater Asheville area
Due to the ongoing work on roads, visitors to Biltmore Estate are advised to check their routes and be prepared for possible detours due to ongoing recovery work. Meanwhile, many businesses in Asheville have also been able to reopen.
Bill Cecil, Jr., President and CEO of Biltmore Estate, said in a statement:
We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support for our community and the determination of our first responders, utility workers, and community volunteers.
As recovery unfolds, welcoming guests back to Biltmore not only means we can open, but also brings critical support to our region’s economy to aid area employees, local businesses, and friends. Together, we can help restore the vibrancy of Asheville and its surrounding areas.
What to expect from the reopening of Biltmore Estate
During the most festive time of the year, guests can select from two different experiences. On daytime visits, they can tour the estate’s sparkling seasonal décor. A visit in the evening will see the elegant, intimate rooms filled with traditional live holiday music, as well as roaring fireplaces and soft candlelight.
