Hotel Belmar invites guests to commune with nature in comfort

Local designers with Costa Rica’s NAAS Interior Culture led the project, to redefine the hotel’s guest rooms. They offer a subtle balance between the eco-lodge’s lush, forest surroundings and contemporary design.

Each renovated room features natural materials, such as wood, together with a palette of subdued colors for a warm, welcoming environment. Almost all of the Costa Rica eco-lodge’s 26 rooms were renovated in the project.

About the renovations

In the new design, mid-century, modern elements and furniture offer functionality and clean lines to each room while not compromising comfort and elegance. The textures and patterns on the velvet and natural fibers in the renovated rooms add a layer of modernity and luxury.

The materials chosen for the project were sourced responsibly and chosen for their low environmental impact. Among them are sustainable wood, organic fabrics and low-VOC paints to create a healthier indoor environment.

Meanwhile, the room upgrades create spaces that offer natural light and the sounds of the forest as guests transition between indoor comfort and the outdoors. As an example, the remodeled Sunrise Room features a private balcony, offering panoramic views across the cloud forest and the Nicoya Peninsula. Moreover, this allows guests to wake up to spectacular views from their rooms.
