Virgin Voyages Announces Eclipse Voyages And Marvelous Voyages In 2026

Excitement is growing about the total solar eclipse in 2026 and Virgin Voyages has joined other cruise lines in offering two Eclipse Voyages and more Marvelous Voyages. Guests aboard the Valiant Lady and the Scarlet Lady can enjoy views of the celestial event.

Virgin Voyages announces Eclipse Voyages and Marvelous Voyages for 2026

Experiencing a total solar eclipse while out at sea is one of the best ways to experience the celestial event. For that reason, Virgin Voyages has announced a new itinerary category, the Marvelous Voyages, set to launch in 2026. These voyages include two first-ever Eclipse Voyages, offering guests a chance to observe the 2026 total solar eclipse while onboard.

Virgin Voyages is embracing the sense of astonishment sparked by the total solar eclipse by sailing the two cruise ships in the path of totality during the August 2026 eclipse. One cruise will take guests to Ibiza at 100 percent totality and Iceland at 98.5 percent totality. Moreover, guests will enjoy a great lineup of tailored events, special guests, workshops and experiences to make the two cruises unmissable.

Astronauts who have spent time in space, and astrologers who have dedicated their lives to it will offer stimulating lectures. The cruise ships will offer dedicated eclipse observation areas with telescopes and binoculars available as well as keepsakes and special edition purchases.

Moreover, guests will enjoy the cruise line’s award-winning food and beverage program, including everything from mind-blowing Milky Way milkshakes to nostalgic moon pies and other delicious celestial delights.

Virgin’s Eclipse Voyages will set sail in August of 2026 while offering a 12-night and 15-night itinerary to choose from. One is onboard the Valiant Lady, which will visit Dublin, Glasgow, Reykjavik and more. The second Eclipse Voyage sails on the Amalfi Coast, Mallorca and Cannes onboard the Scarlet Lady.

Meanwhile, Virgin Voyages’ Marvelous Voyages includes six other sailings from March 2026 through August 2026. According to the press release, these cruises set sail from Iceland to Istanbul, while visiting 12 new ports, including Salerno, Edinburgh, Stockholm, Hamburg, Oslo, Tangier and Greenland.

Loyalty Sailors enjoy first-pick

Meanwhile, Virgin Voyages’ Loyalty Sailors will get to enjoy the first pick of these and other exciting 2026 sailings on August 14, before they are made available to loyalty members. Moreover, the voyages will be made available to the general public on August 21.

Michelle Bentubo, Chief Operating Officer at Virgin Voyages made the announcement, saying:
