Fans of Peter Pan and his friends can finally look forward to a treat at DisneySea in Tokyo, Japan. This comes as Disney reveals new details of the attraction heading to Fantasy Springs on June 6, 2024.

The beloved fictional character was created by Scottish novelist and playwright, J.M. Barrie and is a free-spirited and mischievous young boy who can fly and never grows up. He spends his never-ending childhood having adventures on the mythical island of Neverland as the leader of the Lost Boys. While he mainly interacts with fairies, pirates, mermaids and such, he occasionally brings children from the world outside Neverland.

Coming to Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea on June 6, Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure attraction is sure to thrill the whole family. To create the attraction, Disney Imagineers have combined cutting-edge technology with creative collaboration with artists from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Join Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and the Lost Kids

Families visiting Tokyo DisneySea will be invited to join Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and the Lost Kids. Between them, they must go on a quest to rescue John from Captain Hook and his band of pirates. Meanwhile, guests will climb onboard Captain Hook’s Jolly Roger and wil soar through the sky, while encountering iconic characters and familiar scenes.

Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure will reportedly use a motion base to emulate the illusion of soaring through the air. Meanwhile, that base will be fitted with a turntable and track system to deliver a true sense of immersion and flights.

Moreover, the projection system will allow a single lens to create 3D effects and to blend physical and digital elements seamlessly while enhancing the immersive experience of the attraction.

Meanwhile, officials from Disney have said that Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure will utilize the highest levels of integration between the custom animation, elements and ride dynamics to create an experience of a lifetime for visitors.

    Okay, so … the video shows a very clearly advanced ride. I’m sure I’d enjoy it for what it is … motion control synched to a high-res animation. But the fact is that I’m an old-timer and the Peter Pan ride in Disneyland was my very first Disney love. I probably first felt its magic in 1967. Nothing like all those actual and real 3D minatures and real movement. I will never lose my first love!
