‘Endless Horizons’ on Villa Vie Odyssey
For those wishing to spend the rest of their lives on a cruise ship, Villa Vie Residences has launched a program dubbed “Endless Horizons.” To join the program, guests will pay a once-off fee of $299,999 for a solo cabin, or $499,999 for a double cabin. For that price, guests are guaranteed accommodations in an outside cabin, all their meals, access to high-speed Internet, some shore excursions and other perks.
Moreover, guests will be able to join more than 50 active interest groups on board the ship, focused on food, fitness and more.
Speaking of the new offer, Mikael Petterson, Chief Executive Officer of Villa Vie Residences, said:
Our goal is to offer a seamless solution for those looking to retire on a fixed budget to never worry about ongoing expenses again.
This is more than just a travel opportunity; it’s a new way of life. For less than the price of an average home, you can secure a lifetime of experiences.
When does Villa Vie Odyssey set sail?
Meanwhile, Villa Vie Residences purchased MS Braemer, a 30-year-old ship from Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, while changing its name to Villa Vie Odyssey. Ironically, the purchase was announced a few weeks after Life at Sea Cruises was forced to cancel its three-year world voyage after not being able to secure a ship.
Moreover, when Villa Vie Odyssey launches later in May, the cruise ship is scheduled to visit all seven continents in the world, with stops in over 425 ports in 147 countries.
Kathy Villalba, Chief Operating Officer of Villa Vie Residences, spoke of the new opportunity, saying:
One aspect most people nearing retirement age are concerned about is ongoing living expenses and the possibility of outliving their savings. This program eliminates that concern altogether while offering the ultimate dream: exploring every corner of the world by sea.
