Sea Cloud Cruises has announced an exciting and historic cruise in 2025, relating to George Washington’s travels to the Lesser Antilles and Barbados. The Barbados to St. Maarten sailing will be hosted by Rear Adm. Peter Cressy, director of executive leadership programs at the George Washington Leadership Institute. Meanwhile, the sailing on Sea Cloud II is set for February 18 to 25, 2025,

Historic cruise on Sea Cloud II

Speaking of the historic cruise, Cressy said:

President Washington sailed the Caribbean with his older brother and drafted a detailed diary of his only explorations outside what would be become the United States of America.

Speaking on board the Sea Cloud II will bring this history to life in an unrivaled setting and create lasting memories for all.

Meanwhile, Cressy, who served in the US Navy in the Caribbean during the Cold War will lead discussions. Moreover, he will present a lecture on “Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Churchill: A Strategic Approach to Leading in Times of Crisis.”

Cressy is also a long-term CEO of the Distilled Spirits Council and will lead a tasting of Mount Vernon’s rum from the estate distillery.

About Rear Adm. Peter Cressy

Cressy spent 28 years in the US Navy in a variety of command and senior staff positions. Moreover, he has spent eight years as a college president, university chancellor and professor of management. Moreover, he has spent 17 years as the President/CEO of the Distilled Spirits Council and has spent eight years as the director of executive leadership programs at the George Washington Leadership Institute.
