Circus Circus Las Vegas announces opening date for SpongeBob SquarePants-Themed Dark Ride
At a cost of $6 million, SpongeBob’s Crazy Carnival Ride was inspired by the Nickelodeon hit animated series. Moreover, the new attraction was created by Sally Dark Rides. Plans were first made in August 2023, but have now come to fruition, with the new attraction opening on March 1.
The hotel describes SpongeBob’s Crazy Carnival Ride as a “hilariously entertaining, interactive attraction, sending guests through seafloor scenes brought to life through vibrant sets, special effects, animatronics and vivid integrated projections, fully submersing riders in the nautical nonsense of SpongeBob SquarePants.”Moreover, riders will experience their beloved SpongeBob SquarePants in a “highly immersive way.” As guests arrive at the new attraction, Mr. Krabs will invite them to try their luck at a collection of zany ride-through carnival midway games. SpongeBob and his pal Patrick help by delivering boxes of supplies to each game.
When the pals accidentally grab a box of Krabby Patty ingredients, the duo tries to hide their mistake by loading the games with buns, patties, sea tomatoes and other food. Unfortunately, their error inspires Mr. Krabs’ arch-rival Plankton to hatch an evil plan to finally successfully steal the famous ‘Krabby Patty’ secret formula. As readers can imagine, the result is mad-cap mayhem for everyone! The new attraction seats five people in each vehicle, where guests can experience the sensory-engaging journey through SpongeBob’s world.
Moreover, while the new Dark Ride is coming to Circus Circus Las Vegas, it will also be available at The Land of Legends theme park in Turkey in 2024.
