Naturally, Dorothy Gale of the classic movie will be seen, traveling with the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow and Tin Man. While not included in images so far, hopefully, Dorothy’s canine pal, Toto will also make an appearance.

These enchanting characters have recently announced the new land on Instagram, including a preview of the ongoing construction. Fans will instantly recognize iconic settings from the movie, including Dorothy’s Kansas home, the Emerald City and the Wicked Witch’s castle.

Like nothing Warner Bros. Movie World has done before

When the precinct was first announced, Clark Kirby, Chief Executive of Village Roadshow Theme Parks, operator of Warner Bros. Movie World said:

This precinct is going to be like nothing we have ever done at Movie World and we are working closely with our partners at Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment to make this one of the most beautifully themed precincts in Australian theme parks.

While so far, no official opening date has been announced for the Wizard of Oz land, fans of the movie can look forward to its debut sometime later this year. This wonderful addition to the theme park’s landscape will take its visitors Over the Rainbow and fully into the story.
