Located in the Bahamas archipelago, Eleuthera is a long and thin island, famed for its beautiful pink sand beaches. One of these is French Leave Beach, while Surfer’s Beach, close to Gregory Town, offers great waves. Meanwhile, Ten Bay Beach in the southeast of the island has shallow waters and a cave to explore close by. Ocean Hole is a natural inland swimming location where swimmers can spot turtles and tropical fish. To see more green sea turtles, travelers can visit Edwin’s Turtle Lake Marine Reserve.

Moreover, the resorts on Eleuthera have given the island its reputation for being one of the friendliest places in the world. Visitors have a choice of upscale resorts, secluded villas and quaint inns which keep them returning each year.

Now that American Airlines is offering the new route to Governor’s Harbour Airport on the island, this might be the perfect time to visit Eleuthera in the Caribbean.
