JetBlue announces new route from New York to Paris
JetBlue recently announced a new route from New York City to Paris, France, which allowed travelers to visit the City of Light on a budget. The low-cost airline now offers travelers direct flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).Meanwhile, JetBlue is offering New Yorkers affordable introductory fares, starting at $499 return to Core seats and $2,499 for travelers in Mint, the airline’s business class. Even better, the American airline will offer this route daily, offering frequent flyers the opportunity of JetBlue’s new loyalty program.
About the New York City to Paris itinerary
JetBlue’s new route offers a convenient schedule when traveling from the US to France with excellent timing. For instance, flight #1407 from JFK to CDG departs at 5:09 pm from NYC, arriving at 6:55 am the next day in Paris, just in time for breakfast.Moreover, passengers can sleep during the just over seven-hour flight, waking up in the morning in time to see the iconic Eiffel Tower.
Meanwhile, flight #1408 departs from CDG in Paris at 8:55 am, arriving in New York at 11:51 am the same day.These new itineraries will operate on JetBlue’s Airbus A321, which offers 114 core seats and 24 Business Class Mint seats.
Onboard amenities from JetBlue
The flight includes Fly-Fi and live television. For this, travelers should bring their own wired earphones to enjoy the entertainment or can purchase headphones during the flight.
Meanwhile, JetBlue has recently updated its in-flight menu with some delicious onboard food. Those core passengers on transatlantic flights, as in the New York to Paris route, will enjoy meals from the restaurant group, Dig. As for Mint passengers, they will be treated to Italian cuisine variations from the Charlie Bird restaurant.
About the fares
The airline offered special rates up until July 1, but travelers can still get cheap prices. According to a recent search on JetBlue’s official website, lower prices currently start at $258 one way. Meanwhile, from August 8 through August 14, the return trip Blue Basic ticket showed a total of $855. However, the basic price doesn’t include a checked bag, priority boarding or seat selection.
Moreover, anyone looking for a more luxurious flight can book a Mint seat on the same dates for $2,489.25. A similar search for dates from September 4 through September 14 gave better results, with a total of $586.45 for a return trip in Core. It also offers the opportunity to upgrade to Blue Class for $756,45, including free seat selection and a checked bag.

The NYC to Paris route isn’t the budget airline’s first, as it also recently launched two new flights from New York City and Boston to Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Introductory prices started at $479.Meanwhile, JetBlue offers direct international flights to London, Lima in Peru, Bogotá in Colombia, Puerto Vallarta and Cancun in Mexico, San Jose in Costa Rica. It also offers Caribbean routes including Aruba, the Dominican Republic and Saint Lucia.
