Southwest Airlines offers 30% discount to celebrate the 30th anniversary of FRIENDS [Image Southwest Airlines on Facebook]In celebration of the iconic sitcom, FRIENDS and its 30th anniversary, Southwest Airlines is giving travelers a treat with 30 percent off flights through Thursday, September 26. Meanwhile, travelers can book with the low-cost airline using the promo code FRIENDS to grab a 30 percent discount off its base fares. This applies for flights between October 24, 2024, and January 31, 2025, and will expire at midnight ET/PT on September 26.
Running from September 22, 1994, to 2004 with ten seasons, FRIENDS became a true phenomenon – it was likely one of the most-watched sitcoms in television history. The group of titular friends was played by Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green, Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay, the late Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing, David Schwimmer as Ross Geller, Courteney Cox as Monica Geller, and Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani.

Fans were sad to see the show go after watching it for 10 seasons and many still watch it on DVD – it was that good and is likely still available on some streaming channels.
Southwest Airlines was also a fan of FRIENDS, which has led the airline to offer a 30 percent discount off base fares for travel from October 24, 2024, through January 31, 2025. However, travelers must act quickly, as the discount is only available until midnight ET/PT on September 26
Celebrating the sitcom onboard the flight

Among them are favorites like “The One With Rachel’s Other Sister” and “The One With The Late Thanksgiving.”

Another FRIENDS experience
In Monica’s kitchen [Image MGM Grand Las Vegas on Facebook]Meanwhile, this isn’t the only mention of FRIENDS in recent months, as MGM Grand in Las Vegas is planning to celebrate the TV show by allowing guests to explore life-sized set creations of some of the best parts of the sitcom. These will include Monica’s apartment, Ross and Rachel’s Las Vegas wedding scene and the fountain seen in the show’s opening credits, all within MGM Grand’s The District. While the date is yet to be revealed, it should happen late in 2024.
In the meantime, Warner Bros. Studio Tours Hollywood has announced the return of the Friendsgiving Event in celebration of the 30th anniversary.
